Creating a Prosumer Camera Shoulder Rig

Creating a Prosumer Camera Shoulder Rig Tube. Duration : 5.75 Mins.

When I say Prosumer I mean Professional looking rig for the consumer that does not have an extra 200 to 1000 to spend. This shoulder rig should be created to fit you. But here are a few items I used Electrical PVC pipe ½ inch thick but 9 inches long( you can use the thicker Electrical PVC if you like but please remember to change all Conduits to fit ( ask your local Home Depot or Lowes Employee) I cut 3 pieces from the pipe measuring 6 inches each ½ T-box 3 90 degree conduit 2 45 degree conduits ( I only used one) 2 2 ½ slip Joint Connectors (I only used one) 1 1/4x20 thread bolt 1 1/4x20 thread nut Can of PVC cement ( to seal your rig nice and tight) Super Glue ( to be used on the bottom of the bolt when you thread it through the Tee-box) And your drill bit of ¼ ( drill the Tee-box and place the bolt through the smooth end) Cosmetics are what you would like to add to it to personalize it Black paint is what I used Bike handles And shoulder pad I will add a few more modifications to this rig, but for now its great to use Remember do not use this rig with a Adapter or Mattebox unless you modify the rig with at least rails. If you would like to see a tutorial email me I might arrange to get a few of the parts and make another with out the cosmetics, or I might just make one with the cosmetics and give it away to a random commentor or subscribe.
